With just over half a year to go until the main (but not the first, nor the last) event of Gogi’s charity year – the farewell game on 24 August at the Stožice Arena in Ljubljana – Goran Dragić and his team have activated two important elements alongside the ticket sales – the event website and SMS donations.
As a reminder, ticket sales for the farewell game Night of the Dragon will start on Thursday, 15 February, at 12:37 (the hour based on the jersey numbers Dragić has worn in his career – 1, 2, 3, and 7). Proudly sponsored by Petrol, tickets will be available online on the Eventim platform.
The popular golden captain of the greatest Slovenian basketball generation will organize five projects in 2024. Firstly, he will open his sixth renovated outdoor basketball court in Ptuj in mid-June. Laško will host the tenth annual Goran Dragić Basketball Camp between 30 June and 6 July. The gala charity event with a selection of stars will take place on 23 August, followed by the spectacular Night of the Dragon on 24 August. The charity year will end in November with the Slovenian Olympic Committee Gala Charity Dinner (in cooperation with the Leon Štukelj and Miroslav Cerar Foundation).
All the funds raised at these events, alongside SMS donations with the keywords GOGI5 (donation of €5) and GOGI10 (donation of €10) to 1919, will be raised for two charity projects, namely Botrstvo v športu program (under the auspices of the Zveza prijateljev mladine Ljubljana Moste-Polje) and the Goran Dragić Foundation. Both programs are primarily concerned with developing young athletes who do not have the means to participate in the activities they love.
